Something that I wasn't fully aware of when you handle death certificates was the information that the one writing it up will need. Last week my brother was talking to the funeral director at the place we used for our father, and now it's going to be our mother. Or, is our mother as she should've been cremated by now. I'm not entirely sure if that's done before the doctor signs off, or after.
We're still waiting for the doctor to sign off on my mom's death certificate. She died on the 1st, and it's now the 11th. The funeral director told us that it's normal. They get busy, they forget. It's been over a week. Yet they could update us daily on her progress in the hospital.
That baffles me.
Have you experienced that?
